I remember my daughter’s summer vacation in elementary school. Our family rode a bicycle for a trip. However, not long after we set off, my daughter’s hand became numb and turned red due to the large vibration of the bicycle itself, and she even said her hips were sore and uncomfortable over time. As a father, I feel very distressed. Later, I tried asking my daughter to wear cycling pants, or changing her bike seat to a softer style, but the improvement was limited. At the moment, I made up my mind to solve this difficult problem!
When I deeply analyzed the bicycle suspension system, I found that the vibration pattern received by the seatpost is not a simple up and down pattern, but a jumping complex of front, rear, up and down. Therefore, the suspension systems on the market nowadays are completely inadequate to deal with such complex vibrations. With the long-term observation, the inspiration for “full-floating suspension system” popped into my mind.
